Daddy, Dates, and Diapers!

June has flown by already, I can't believe it!  Here is a few highlights from the month...
We celebrated Jared's birthday by bringing him his favorite cupcakes to work and taking him out to lunch.

Then we celebrated Father's Day a few days later.  We took dad to a brunch after church and opened a few gifts.

A few days after that Jared and I celebrated our 8th anniversary!  It was fun having a night out while the babysitter watched the kids for a few hours! The following picture is inside the Gaylord resort/hotel. No, we didn't stay there....maybe for our 20th anniversary we will finally spend a night without kids!  I'm so blessed to be married to this man.  I love you Jared!

This month, Isaac turned three months old.  He is still a really good baby.  He started sleeping through the night 7-8 hours.  He also found his thumb.  Julia and Kai were not thumb suckers, but both mom and dad were.  We were destined to have at least one thumb sucker in our family! Here is a few pictures:

3 months old!

Silly guy!
Rolling...

...and over!!

Julia has decided that she doesn't want to wear clothes or a diaper.  After washing her sheets twice a day for a few days, we tried everything to keep her diaper on.  Putting tights and a swimsuite under her pjs didn't work. Putting her pj's on backwards didn't work.  Duct taping her diaper on didn't work!! So, Jared found this nifty pj/jumpsuite and ordered a few.  I don't think I'd be able to get out of these pjs!  It's done the trick and I have not had to wash sheets for a week!

Kai had an appointment with his urologist at Dallas Children's Hospital last week.  There he unerwent a urodynamics procedure to determine how his bladder is functioning since we stopped his medication and catheterization six weeks ago.  He also had a kidney ultrasound done.  The dr. explained that Kai's bladder does not appear to be "normal" and he will most likely need to be cathed when he is ready to potty train and keep dry.  But the good new is that his kidneys look great, and it appears that he does not need to be cathed anymore until he is ready for potty trained (around age 3). Praise the Lord for healthy kidneys!  We will follow up with another kidney ultrasound in six months.

We are headed out to Nebraska this afternoon after Jared gets home from work.  We are looking forward to seeing all of our cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparents!  I've got to to finish packing!  Happy 4th of July weekend!
